I'm completely baffled
2.0 ltr CU engine
I need HELP
My camper was traveling along the motorway 50/55 mph, smooth as silk, then................I'm jerked violently, and slowed down completely and finally cut out....Towed to work. I rang Steve at Gasure (Thanks Steve) bought a new coil ran a treat and fixed the problem..came home from work drove beautifully,. Then went to go into B&Q this afternoon...starts to jerk again but not as much, went shopping came out tried to start it and it back fires runs for a couple of seconds then cuts out..and does this everytime I start it.anyway I took off the aircleaner cover to check if fuel getting through and when I pump the carbs fuel vapour is rising out of the venturi's, connect the vacuum pipe and try to start it and it runs perfectly, ..So now I'm puzzled. It runs perfectly without the top half of filter on.....Methinks air, there are NO leaks anywhere and petrol is getting through.........HELP
Anyone got any clues, cause i've ran out of thoughts and ideas
I love these quirky Aircooled.....lol

Hello Kev..long time no chat...How are you fella ???.I saw you once or twice in Wolves hit the horn but you didn't see me in the National Express coach.lol
I'm thinking of running it without air filter till I can get another..if that fixes it.the old filter must be buggered (is that word allowed.lol)
Will try it tomorrow

Re: I'm completely baffled
is your isv still connected?
mine did this when it had an ify isv.
i bypassed it by plugging the two connections together and it was fine after.
