fiamma bike rack question

Post by cinimod »

just wondered how many bikes you can fit on a t3 fiamma bike rack-fiamma says 3 but wondered if you can fit 4 mountain bikes on?(im sure ive seen them with 4 bikes?)
I tow a trailer behind also and wondered if it will foul?
have managed with strapping them to trailer up till now but bit of a pain having to tow trailer every time we go out for a family ride if were not camped somewhere!

standard t3 fiamma rack is only designed for up to 3 bikes... its mainly restricted by the weight issue. Should not foul trailer (unless its really tall!) as bottom of rack sits just above lower edge of tailgate height wise.... mines ok when I tow.
I did consider having bullbar type rack on front at one point!

mine has four, but has been 'adapted' so the base is longer, you can fit four runners on a standard rack but won't have enough room for the bikes.
Could take some pics of mine if your interested
