Water cooled - Manifold air filter pickups

I have some rather tatty bit of ali tubeing hanging from my exhaust pipe. Can anyone tell me where they connect onto. I beleive they both connect to the air filter, and can guess where one goes bu not the other.

They are from the heat pick-up on exhaust downpipe 1 and go to the warm air unit. In this country they serve no purpose at all, I'd take them off and tidy up the remains.

Hi having looked again, if these pipes don't do anything, then there isn't a need for all the gubbings hanging off the end of the air filter. I could block off the vacuum tube on back of the carb.

Any cimments welcomed
