To change over a starter motor ie mechanic doing it? 2.0ltr petrol
Best to arrive late in this world than early into the next

2.o ltr a/c -- first time, with no knowledge and only haynes to go by...nearly an hour...bit lots of pondering time, trying to get wheel off time...working out what bolts went where time.... :evil:


7 or 8th time (hubby now NOT imporessed with starting problem :twisted: ) off, bush out, new bush in (the fiddly bits), starter on, about 1/2 hour.

Sorry Mocki, can't remember removing tinware to change starter...perhaps we did sommat wrong, or I have some missing! :oops:

Access to a hoist.

Lift the rear hatch, disconnect battery, 2 main nuts, 1 electric connection nut, pull off solenoid wire, remove starter, check bush in casing, fit starter and wires ect, refit hatch. No more then half an hour if no faulty bush found.

Double for tinware....why?
