I need to install another Lap belt. It already have two, can i use the existing mounting points to attach another seat belt and reciever to . Is it a big job, i have found 2 mounting bolts and could use them. Is it easy to unbolt the existing bolts and add another belt and receiver, How long should it take.

Re: Fitting another lap belt!!!
Hi Andy,
in all honesty, I don't know the proper answer to this questions. My guess is that they*should* have their own mounting. If I think abuot the lapt belt and three point on the velle, each part of the belts have own mountings.
However, my front passenger seat belt plug mounting has two seat belt parts coming off it - one for the passenger three point and one for the buddy three point. It has gone through several MOTs like this, and everyone I have asked had said its ok. I do check all the bolts regularly jus to make sure they are all still tight (all ok so far!)
so I guess now you need to think about the weight you are putting on the single mounting. All small children, or all large adults??
Time taken to change...I can do em pretty quick now....think its a 17mm or 19mm spanner (17mm seems mor familiar). Unbolt, slip new belt on bolt, do it up. Job done.

Re: Fitting another lap belt!!!
its 17mm (i've just done mine). I'd want to put a spacer between them as its probably not a good idea for the straps to be allowed to rub against each other.

Robin....you better pop in....don't think you'll find out more local..
Andy - fitting...
make sure you fit them the right way up...or you'll always have a twist....you need the button release on the top, not the bottom!

Re: Fitting another lap belt!!!
Hi Emm
How accessible is the nut on the underside? Is it a 1 or 2 person job? I'm hoping that you may be able to source me a lap belt. Hopefully speak/see you soon.
