Two screws in the rear drum brakes??

Two screws in the rear drum brakes??

Hi guys,i will be fitting some merc alloys soon but when i recently trial fitted the rears,
i noticed that the alloys wont fit flush with the bolt face because of these two screws.
How have you guys got round this problem?

Just take them out, they have no real function. The drums cannot go anywhere when the wheels are fitted and torqued up.

yep, did the same when I fitted some alloys (also Merc)...they didnt fall off :wink:

Hi Guys
as you say they dont do much but put 2 phillips countersunk screws in
just to be on the safe side as they must have been there for a reason.
thats what i did

Only there to locate the drum whilst putting the wheel on mine have been long gone and never a problem plus being a mechanic i have often either seen thses missing or sheard off !
