2.1 dj water leak RHS of engine Rubber seal?

Post by willf »

My 2.1dj leaked a bit from time to time but never left a puddle anywhere. I got a bit over excited on a green lane the other day, ragged it a bit... now there's a puddle on the floor it's dripping 2 drips a second or so! ooops. So is it a big job? Will this wynnes stuff work on a leak that quick? Or are there some plugs under that cover i should be looking at too. It's not very visible in there!!!

Thanks for any tips.

Make sure it is not from the drain plugs...(behind the pushrod tube cover)

I wouldnt use any rad seal stuff, even the supposedly ok wynns.. I am afraid its a head job...

I've heard you don't have to remove the head completely to change the rubber gasket Si, just pull it off a bit... is that right?
