Central locking on a Bluestar - help please

Post by Karmann56 »

The central locking on our Bluestar has just stopped working - problem is - it's stopped in the locked position and we can't get in!

Any advice or tips on how to sort this. I've checked the fuses but that's about it - anything else I should be doing?

Thanks

Is the CL origional?, if so I'm assuming you cant physicaly lift the locking buttons on the front doors.
Each door has a motor in it with a switch system in the front doors.
When you lock a door the switch supplys power to all the motors, each motor then rotates untill it detects it is locked, if the motor never detects that it is locked it will work against the locking buttons holding them down, stopping you opening the door.

Firstoff remove the fuse, this should allow you to unock each door manualy.

You probably need to remove the door cards. and take out the actuators, strip them dow, clead them, replace the tiny springs, and reassemble.

Quite easy really.
