Van Covers

Post by kentishvanman »

Hi,
If you Google 'caravan covers' that will give you a start.
I have had one made by Pro-Tec for the last 3/4 years which was sort of ok. I had some initial problems when they had a batch of faulty material but that was sorted. However I don't know how long the material is good for. Most covers are probably all made from the same type of material. My cover was on permanantly for 3 plus years as the van was off the road. I have just ditched my cover as the material was starting to disintegrate in places. Maybe I was unlucky. I will get another cover as they certainly keep the muck off when the van is idle for a period and they do give some security as the ********* do have to spend time removing it before they drive off.
Hope this helps.
Don

Thanks Don. We've got a lot of trees and a few magpies round us so will have to get something sorted. It's enough getting it off the car every day. I saw that JustKampers had a proper one for T25 but only for pop tops.

Hello there,
we had a cover made by pro-tec as we had the same problem they did it by email complete with pictures and when it arrived it was ok.
The only problems we have had so far in the year or so we have had it is one of the trident clips has broken and it was quite expensive compaired to the JK type things.
However the van sat all winter out side and despite standing in all weathers not a smell of damp or anything in the van.
And with the amount of sh## hawks around our way it also saved a lot of cleaning before first use.
You also get the option of havin an velcro opening on the driver or passenger side door which proved handy for getting in the van while it was covered just saved having to take the complete cover off every time i worked on it .
Hope that helps abit.
A high top and a Cosworth crew cab because i can, the driveway is full and the boss she is not happy

Hi,
I ditched the cover but kept the straps etc. If you want strap/clips let me know.
