Rear near side wheel noise.
Hi All. New to this. Just joined site after buying T25 auosleeper two weeks ago. Have got a wkd noise on reer near side wheel. Sounds like rubber against metal. Have taken apart and greased drive shaft. Seemed to help but after trip to Cheddar its back. Thought it might be the oil seal rubbing the hub assembly. Any advice/ ideas greatly appreciate. Cheers Neil

I have a noise which i would discribe like yours on the rear near side.It occurs on a hard right .I changed both the rear wheel bearings on both sides & caster nuts tighten properly. There was still a bit of play in the hub after replacing the wheel bearings i was thinking could this be a brake drum rubbing on a back plate.

Hi Camper, thankyou for your reply. A weird one this. It seems to come on after about 30 miles whether driving straight or turning. I believe all the brake shoes etc have been replaced prior to purchase, but will check. Thank again. Neil

Could also be the CV joint. Look under the wheel at the bar connecting it to the gearbox. Give it a bit of a..how can I say this politely?..a motion as if you were sandpapering a walking stick
kinda movement up and down the bar!!
This redistributes the grease inside and hey presto, noise goes away for a few thousand miles (ultimately would need replacing, but doesn't everything?)
