Had a quote today for £350, their work looks excellent and comes with a 3 year guarentee, is this a competative price or am I being ripped off ?

HEY REMEMBER YOU CAN'T TINT THE FRONT ONES AS IT'S NOT LEGAL.

ONLY THOSE BEHIND THE CAB CAN BE LEGALLY TINTED.

WHY NOT SHOUT AT EVERYONE, EH?

Its illegal to have dark tint front windows. We have a lot of our new Toyota`s privacy tinted but we can only have the rear windows and rear screen legally tinted. The guys that do ours refuse to do fronts even on a light smoke tint.
The law are getting even stricter on MODDED vehicles and that to them is modded.
I do recall some one on this forun being pulled and told there front windows were to dark and that was a T25! Think it was Disco Dave. The old bill by me (Sorry Police) always follow me in my van cus I know they want to pull me over for something. Be carefull everyone, our modded vans will be the target of police attention before long.

I have tinted windows on my van all round all the same tint ,and i got a pull and they are only a light tint ,it still failed the light meter test iirc it had to let in 70% natural light for it to be legal.

As for the price i had them proffesionally tinted in nottingham about £250 ,but that was a while ago.

Nottingham are having a clamp down on this sort of thing ,so depends on where you live i supose ,if you want to get them done .

Think someone should remind Phoney Bliar of this law........has anyone seen the people carrier thing he drives around in?

BTW does the mirror stuff tint as well? or can you get non tint mirror film because as someone who hates wearing a seatbelt wondered if I could get something that stops the feds seeing me

Thats what I thought, but have ver been in a motor with it on.

Nice idea about the pen though :D ....probably continue risking it, only had two fixed penalty notices since the law was introduced nearly 20 years ago, so probably worked out cheaper than tint :D
