Rear Seatbelts - which JK part

I have an '89 T25 with no mounts fitted in the back.

Which belts do I need to order from JK? They appear to offer two sets, but not a lot of other detail. I know that I need the mounting plates as well

I'm in the process of doing this as well, the way I read the website suggests that these are the bits needed per seat belt:

1 x J11582 - Pair of Seat Belt Mounting Plates with nut, I think that the others they sell are weld-in ones, but these are big enough to spread the load for bolt-in applications.

1 x J10557 - one Lap belt

2 x J11997 Mounting bolts to bolt the lot together

Ideally I would like to fit one 3 point belt and 1 lap belt, but it doesn't look like an easy task to fit a 3 point one, unless others know better?

I did think about fixing a length of plate under the panel that all the mounts fit through to provide extra strength, does this seem like a plan or just plain daft?

I've got laps in already. I want three pointers as the kids are too big for safety chairs now.

I note they have J10652, but with the note "3 point rear seat belt with extender all years, FOR LONGER VERSION SEE SEC500/W (one kit does one seat)"

I cannot find the mythical SEC500/W ??

Yep, looks like the JK website doesn't have that part reference? As Hacksawbob suggests, you would be better off calling them tomorrow.

Whatch those JK belts i fitted there 3 point belt and found it to be too short for the back rock and roll bed, you will need an extender probably?

Ok, sorted it all out with JK today. Called them and the bloke on the phone seemed to know his stuff. He reckons I can get away without the extender on the right hand side, but will need it on the left as my van has a 3/4 seat in it.

So I've ordered 2 belts, 1 extender and a set of plates. A mate will be helping me install it all and once I'm happy I'll get a set of photos, part no.s and instructions up onto the WIKI.

I think the left hand side rear cupboard will have to go, but I'm not that bothered as it will give me a few more inches to escape the misses snoring.

Glad that you got things sorted with JK, I shall look forward to seeing the photos and reading about the install. I was hoping to get under my own T25 at the weekend, but my damaged ankle isn't healing as fast as hoped... in fact I've just got back from having an x-ray.

Right, update number 1

I have the belts. good service from JK, but pi$$ poor from City Link who's idea of delivering them was to leave the box under the van in the rain. Luckily they are OK.

I am not convinced that I will get both sides sorted as I have a 3/4 size bench. I think the belt on the cupboard side will be too short even with the extender, but tomorrow I'll pull it all apart and we'll have a look.

Update number 2

I have got both belts into the Van, the Securon belts are plenty long enough for a 3/4 bench but I had to lose the cupboard from my Autosleeper conversion.

On Monday I'm going to weld the mounting plates in place and then I'll put all the photos and instructions up.

It's really not that hard, I'm a total mechanical hampton and I've managed to drill the holes and get it all in. The only problem I have got is that the underbody mount plates turned when I got a wrench onto the lap belt nuts, so I need a mate to help loosen these and replace them.

Sounds like you're winning with the seatbelts

My ankle seems to be getting much better everyday now, so hopefully I'll be able to get mine sorted soon.

Do the mounting plates have to be welded in? I was hoping that the JK items were usable to bolt in. Saying that, I'd rather the van was safe, I'm just going to have to find a friendly local welder.
