Won't start facing downhill

Post by glennyboy2 »

This sounds really stupid but my van won't start if it is left parked facing down hill. If I let it roll and level off, it evenually fires up. Any ideas folks?
Its an 89 1.7 diesel ftted 3000 miles ago ( good recon).

sounds like the fuel could be running back to tank m8. look for a poor joint on the fuel line (between pump and tank) where air could get in.
