Thanks David.
Strange it has happened on both inlet valves?
You would have thought the exhausts valve are more susceptible to sticking.
I’m am currently working on my Austin 7 ruby for the second time in a week because of stuck inlet valves ( all 4 ) exhaust valves are not affected . The symptoms were, runs ok but no compression when I go to start it next time from cold. I have now drained the petrol from the tank hoping the cause is attempting to use ancient petrol. Something maybe t3 owners who lay up their vans for the winter (or longer )should be wary of !
Advantage of side valve engine seems to be ,cam followers just force valves to the open position . No pushrods to get bent!
