Not my van but asking as there are some geniuses on this forum,
theres a T5 and its got ECU issues that are proving overwhelming.
Seems like it needs a new ECU at least.
Nice van with an expensive Pop Top, a RIB Bed, worth repairing..
What with the motor being a 1.9PD with some practical modifications,
DarkSide developments bits around the intercooler, whatever.
As I say its beyond my limited understanding,
and most people are just looking at it and puzzled,
sadly those puzzled people have cost a fair bit so far.
Its come to thinking of selling it as a project,
any ideas?
If not I shall list it on the classifieds.
T5 with 1.9PD needs ECU, possible project.

Good fault finding with the correct equipment is the key , not everyone is good with electrics and most guess at the answer , its rarely an ECU issue, however if they are confident it is have it tested and repaired at least to discount it as a potential fault , much more likely to be a wiring issues , T5s are getting old now

In this case its likely to be ECU and Wiring both..

Re: T5 with 1.9PD needs ECU, possible project.
I had a PD engine with blown ECU to sort out a few years ago. I bought a good ECU off eBay, and an EPROM reader/writer. I read the old ECU EPROM, then wrote the contents into the replacement EPROM. This overcame the immobiliser problem and the vehicle has been OK ever since. The original problem had been water in the ECU and it was showing multiple different fault codes each time.
This obviously won't help if there are other problems though.
Has the cylinder head internal wiring loom been checked? These are a common failure, so I'm told.
