I am considering and researching an engine swap from petrol to diesel. For relative simplicity, my plan is go for a good JX for now - the reasoning is that as T25 engine it will already have the correct sump, bellhousing etc. I know that I will need the engine mounting bars, glow plug wiring plus any other diesel specific bits.
What I am slightly unclear about is the gearbox. I have a good ABG 4 speed box in my van which I believe will work with the JX. But, I gather that the gearbox sits at a different height in the the diesel vans so do I just need the diesel gearbox mounts or the whole 'box? I am also aware that I will need the rear section of the selector rod.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
I have checked the Wiki for other stuff about engine swaps, but currently cannot access it - it just says 'Error 403 - access forbidden'

Re: Gearbox mounts.
You will want the diesel 4 speed mount and the diesel rear half of the linkage, with the diesel version of the cup and the diesel version of the rear bush mount that bolts to the gearbox
