Westfalia window insect net

Post by andyk »

Hello

Does anyone know where I could get hold of one of these? The grey plastic frame has insect netting and it fits over the opening window in the side sliding door. Westfalia California 1990 - thanks!

Thanks!

They are handed 253 847 749 left and 253 847 750 right side
Unobtanium these days, you might find a used one from a seller at a show from someone like Frank's VWBusparts

Schofields do a version that fits their windows, I don't know if it is compatible with the original Westie slider though

Plastic weld yours using a soldering iron and grey cable ties maybe ?

Thanks Aidan. This is the right handed one. I did think about mending it, but one of the lugs which hold it onto the window has broken off, which kinda makes it tricky https://drive.google.com/file/d/11qcbup ... IP3AX/view

Will try Frank's and have a look at Schofields as you suggest.
