So few more goodies arrived just before we broke for Xmas, gearbox strainer and gasket kit, inlet manifold gaskets, my modified gearbox shaft to accept the reversaru gears kit (this is in the country and should be with me on the 27th)
Also my Subaru select monitor 2,
Been after one of these for a while now. This one came up in eBay, listed as untested and condition unknown, so figured it was worth a gamble, 65 quid later I won the auction, came a few days later, plugged it in after replacing the back up batteries and bingo! Works a treat!!

I should have some more updates next week as soon as the Reversaru kit arrives and get it fitted….

Subaru ez30d h6, 4eat auto gearbox in a coachbuild

Post by jamiegolf »

Hey all, got a little more prep work done in the van today,
The subaru electric shift kit comes with 7 buttons to mount (P R N D 3 2 1) and I also have the handbrake button to mount too,
So got some masking tape and traced out the location I wanted to fit the buttons and transferred this to some card to someone measuring…
This is my chosen location for the 8 buttons

And here’s my drawing,
the 5 buttons to the left are 19mm and the 3 to the right are 15mm
Easily accessible from the drivers seat and the black buttons should blend in and be discreet…

So reversaru kit is installed. Gearbox strainer filter replaced, oil cooler pipes rerouted and pointing in the other direction towards the front of the bus towards the cooler, just need to add the spin on filter to the side now and this box is ready to install!Image

Is this a conversion you already do for customers, Jamie, or one you are planning on offering?

I got 5 mins today to mate the engine and gearbox together….. swap the oil filter, get some oil in it, and crank it over with a booster pack…..
