What engine and carb do I have

Hi all having bought our first money pit a beautiful red and white T3/T25 i have come to a self conclusion the previous owners may have installed a T2 1700cc engine as it has the CB code, so firstly am I correct in my assumption if not how can I tell and secondly before removing to clean is this the webber carb or the Empi.
It's in need of a lot off tlc to the engine but it does drive and runs ok.

Sorry, can’t help you identify the carb, but one of the first things I would do is change the fuel lines (yours look cracked from the photo) and remove the fuel filter from the engine bay! Relocate it nearer the tank, that’s where mine is. Make sure you use e10 rated fuel lines. Got mine from Brickwerks.

Well the accelerator pump on the carb has Weber stamped on it by looks of things but doesn't mean the carb is a Weber.. could be a knock off.
CB is an early 70s engine but that code looks like it's been messed with as the B is off...
Even so looks like it's missing the rubber seal that goes around the engine tinware to the bodywork, which is important for these Aircooled engine to regulate temperature.

No air filter?
Change jubilee clips to fuel pipe clips, can't see a clip on one side of that fuel filter that shouldn't be there.

Thanks for your replies guys, yes the fuel lines do need changing and is one of my priority jobs but didn't know the filter should not be there, as for the seals these will get done but I think the engine numbers has swayed me more to fitting the gti engine.
Sorry to all you purists out there but I think the van has been molested too much and will be major work, the other thing that worries me is it's a 1980 registered van however had a water cooled deisel engine as the front grille and radiator are there also pipes underneath for the cooling system.

The fuel filter should be just after the fuel tank.

Looks like a Weber 32/36 DGAV as fitted to a lot of early Fords, Cortina, Capri etc. Common swap on a CU engine, could be wrong tho!

Had them apart slightly for a clean, they are webber but have been fiddled with as the circuit was missing from the choke link,
This was after watching a video on how to service the 3236 carbThere was also a link to a company that deals with these carbs constantly and suggest these are not suitable for T3 VanAnd you must have a Pezoni distributorFor them to work properlyAnybody else know if this is true or not

I had a CU engined T3  panel van around 15 years ago. i ran it on a 32/36 weber (fitted when i bought the van) it had  a Bosch 009 distributor. Ran for a few years without issue.
