After my recent alternator problems I am considering to change my alternator system to a serpantine belt 120A setup. (I have Mtdi 1Z with the JX two belt system and 90A alt. now)
I have found out that there are 120A alternators with W and D+ connections (eg.: Bosch 0123510006 vw 028903025R), which are easy to install on an Mtdi.
However I remember some rumours that they do not fit well under the lid on the T3 with the standard golf3 mounting bracket (028903143AB)
Are the rumours true? Is there any specific bracket to search for?
Tried to search but nothing relevant came up.
