Expansion tank

Post by Da dan »

Hihi folks. Am I right in thinking there is a early one with a lager outlet than the newer one that has a smaller out let? Mine has a small split in the tank and it needs replacing. Originally a 85 dg unless I’m able to safely repair it?

Thats a late one, but petrol and diesel have different sized hose spigots.

I very much doubt you can successfully repair it. At less than £20 just buy a new one. And you don't need that hose clamp on the cap if you are using the correct diameter hose.

Thank you. I wasn’t going to try to repair just incase it split on me. Just ordered a new one anyway. Thanks again
