Thanks Rob, I definitely need a tube of this.

Some more developments

I pulled the carpet back a couple of days ago to see if I could track it and it has of course rained so I have had chance to figure it out (some what) where the leak is coming from.

It appears it isn't the screen at all, it's coming in from the door somewhere, possibly under the door seal.

The water starts from the top of the arch where the seatbelt bolts down.

I have had the door card off, it appears to be damp but not soaking to the level you would expect to get a big puddle like I had this morning. There is no plastic backing so it could be condensation.

The mind boggles, I need to track it down. Any suggestions appreciated

Maybe leave the door card off shut the door get a hosepipe on the outside and someone on the inside to check where it's getting in.

That's not a bad idea, I'll have a crack at that

Tracked it down,

It's pissing down the 1/4 light front window (non opening). The black gasket extends into the door. I also found quite a build up of silt and crap in the bottom of the door.

I've rigged up a hosepipe and packed the window out to the scrapers (they have seen better days).

Awaiting rain to see if happens again

Any ideas on how to solve said issue? It's definitely this as I don't have water anymore

I wonder if a new rubber would solve it.

Jumping in on this one as I am having a similar issue. There is water getting into the passenger footwell, I hand a LHD 1986 bilbo conversion and I can't see where the water might be getting in.

The little window in the door doesn't look like it has any issues as there is no damp in the door card or sign of water. The front window seal looks tight, I couldn't even lift it, and the tiny patch of rust on the window isn't big enough to let the amount of water in that has accumulated. The only place I can think of is through the front grill. Pictures attached of what it looks like.

Any ideas?

The rust creeping under the windscreen rubber could suck water in, i had the same issue recently.

Preventing it at source is best option, I use those sponge cloths by spontex, they soak up the water quite well, i leave them where the water collects and check each day especially after heavy rain.

You are right, it's that gap on the window.

Frustratingly I have just got the van back from the body shop for rust repair, I just didn't notice that hole before it went in and I am not keen on sending it back in for more costly work.

What is my best option for a temporary fix, and I will do a bigger repair when there is more work needed.

Am thinking a bit of clear silicon might do the trick, or will that cause even more problems?

Lift up the edge of the rubber seal and squirt some sealer in there, its going to be a windscreen out job in the future to solve the problem.
