Rear side window apertures - double-skin?
I own a Devon conversion, T25 1.6 turbo diesel, under restoration. Can anyone help me with this odd one? My rear side window apertures are not single but double-skinned. The windows were removed for its re-spray, but now I’ve tried to refit them, I have found the rubbers and windows will only sit on the outside (or inside) aperture skin, leaving the other with nothing. It seems very odd. See photo. Is there something that should go on the inner skin to cover the recess?

No photo showing but presumably you have a panel van conversion, the window sits on the outer skin only , have you got the correct seals ?
Re: Rear side window apertures - double-skin?
Thank you for your reply. I cannot see how to attach a photo and only realized I left this in my post after I had pressed submit. How do I attach a photo? The seals I have came with the van. The windows were in but removed for prepping by the sprayer, so I never got to see how they were in the first place.

You will find that the window rubber and glass fit on the outer sill and there would be a additional seal very much like the tailgate seal that sits on the inner sill and fills the gap tween the two
However as far as i know original Devons were all windowed buses , not panel vans
It should have a Devon ID plate fixed to the body normally on the “B” pillar

Devon conversions used factory window and panel vans for conversions, the Eurovette had a small rear side window cut out.

Thanks for the info.
I'll have to check what rubber seals I already have that I cannot ID. Heritage has sent me a link to something that appears may do the trick, but again, I need to see how/if it fits.
I tried to attach a photo using the Black squared "i" but nothing attached.

You must be doing something wrong. It works fine for everybody else.
