Leisure Battery Recommendation please

Post by wbmkk »

I am looking to buy a new leisure battery for my T25

Due to lockdowns and then a fault, my van wasn't used for well over 2 years.

The existing leisure battery is several years old, so before going away I think it's time for a new one .. no doubt there are better batteries now anyway.

Any recommendations please would be appreciated .. obviously, it has to fit in the wee space provided, behind the driver's seat.

thank you

The only true leisure battery that fits is a LP75
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181435606948

All others to the best of my knowledge are NOT true leisure batteries, but “dual purpose “ starter batteries
True leisure batteries do not have any CCA rating (Cold Crank Amps)

Topic hijack:
Is there any info out there on the real manufacturer or country of origin of these 175mm tall leisure batteries?
I would like to source them locally or at least closer.
Unfortunately they won't ship outside the UK.
I have found ones in Estonia and Finland but maybe there are some others out there.

BTW I use Exide EA722 as a leisure now.

Thank you anyways.
It is unfortunate that that size is not a common thing.
And VW did not make the compartment 2cm taller...

It appears to be an 'in-house' brand from a supplier in Stockport, near Manchester.

Here is the web-page for the battery Mocki refers to.

They 'may' export to mainland Europe, or they may know of an equivalent supplier for you

Maybe one day I might get it finished

Thanks Robsey,

I do not see outside UK postage mentioned on their webpage, but will send them an email.

It is very hard to post batteries within the UK, due to the risks of handling battery acid.

But as said, they may be able to advise who supplies them, or advise you of the equivalent battery models.

You have nothing to lose.
