Delay switching on ignition

Post by dhut6 »

Hi. My first time post here. Hopefully someone can help shed light on this.

I have a 1985 T25. 1.9 petrol. DG engine I think. Has worked faultlessly for a couple of years but now has odd issue when turning key to ignition on.

After turning key there is a delay of about 10 secs then ignition turns on. Van then starts no problem. If I don’t start it after 10 seconds ignition goes off. There’s another me gap and it comes on again. It cycles through on off on off …

It’s stumped me. Any thoughts. Thanks.
