fresh water tank ready for winter storage?

Post by Flora87 »

Hi
Can anyone advise how I empty the fresh water tank which is stored under the passenger side chassis? I was advised to do this to prevent the water from freezing over winter
Thankyou

Open the drain tap, or pump it out via the tap …..however i never empty mine, its used all year round not stood
The important thing is to make sure the tank isnt completely full and the pump is empty if its external to the tank

Water expands when it freezes , if it has room to expand no damage happens

Not knowing your conversion. If a well thought out system it should have a drain on.

Simply drain it.

Indeed next week has been forecast some bitterly cold weather.

Good thing I have spent the last few weeks re insulating my bus.
