Hihi
I have a super Viking roof that I’ve changed so it has x2 double beds, and we all sleep up there but I want to upgrade the mattress. I am thinking of going with some kind or inflating type but it needs to fold up so it can be stored up there. At the mo I have 25-30mm foam (standard) and then I roll out a self inflating mattress over the top but they are bulky to store. I’ve thought about taking out the ply and making webbing to get a thicker foam but this will be alot of work with questionable gains. Just thought I would ask here incase someone has nailed it. Thanks

Surely it would be almost impossible to remove the ply in your super Viking? It’s integral to the structure and the top wouldn’t work without it. I find that the roof only just closes as it is and that’s with the standard foam (although, I think ours is thicker than 25/30mm)

You'd probably be best swapping the foam out for something modern foam

I would have to make a frame for it. Hence a lot of work involved. Yes not much room after bedding.
I’ve tried new foam but it’s just too thin
