hydraulic tappet?

i started my CT1600 today after standing for 6 months. A knocking sound has apeared, i am assuming it is a hydraulic tappet ? i have a silly question does this ever cure itself? will adjusting help? any help would be much appreciated.All the best Boyd

Tappet bleed down.Take it for a good run this should cure it. Its always a good idea to start the van regularly. They don't like being stood for long periods.

Excuse my ignorance, does the CT have hydraulic tappets? I thought they were only on later CU engines.
