Mistery wire?

Post by axeman »

Before I start trawling through wing diagrams I wonder if any one can help? From a 1983 westy there is a brown & a brown with a blue tracer that are connected via crimp in a factory connector that's just a hanging by the fuse board. Has any any idea what it's for.
Thanks in advance Neil

In general on german cars in OE wiring brown is ground, brown with traces are switched grounds or signal grounds.

Thanks for that had a quick look in the Bentley and I think looking at later wiring diagrams that it's for the parking break warning light on the dash I will do some continuity tests over the weekend and try and confirm what it is
