Clock swop

Post by southernscouse »

Hi my dash foil is kaput so I ordered a slaughterhouse kit I have a spare clock set in a broken housing
My question is since I am using the rewire kit is it possible to swop my speedo for one with reset and my analog clock to the other housing is it possible to get the plastic glass which has the holes in from one to the other and how

I fear that will end in tears from my previous experiences. Maybe better to drill a hole in the other glass .

I have removed the acrylic lenses but it’s a 50/50 gamble that it will part with the dash without breaking. I used a wedged shaped wooden block and tapped it out at the edges. The housings can be repaired and I have repaired some that most would bin. Happy to give some info regards rebuilding the casing if you want.
