Doka sun roof- double sun roof?

Post by rumpoldstilskin »

Hi everyone, I’ve removed a roof rack that came fitted to my double cab Doka and to my surprise it has either had 2 sunroof’s (front and rear)
Or… the front removed and fitted in the rear.

The tell tale is there appears to be a shady sheet metal skin the shape and size of a sunroof over the drivers cab part and a sunroof over the rear passenger part.

So few photos exist I’m at a loss (without removing the headlining) as to what could have been OEM.

Question is; are double size (think BMW mini or beetle rag top) sunroof’s a thing for the Doka?

Also appears my rear one doesn’t open :,(

Hard to tell, looks like someone stuck the roof rack back on while your back was turned

factory sunroof sit almost flush to the roof compared to aftermarket ones and as said they have four tubes from a rain gully. one on each corner.
I have one in the garage complete with most of the cab section of roof if anyone wants one.
WHY T3's.... because they are just so adictive, and having one just aint enough

to save you loads of spam calls I would remove your number from your post. I can get some pictures, mine is from a caravelle. its  quite a big section of roof but not enough for a complete crew cab roof.

No worries and cheers for the heads up- I see there is no direct messaging function on this forum? Or maybe just as I’m new, odd either way.

It’s mainly the front section I need, I’ll post a photo on Tuesday- just looks a state. (Front section to the top of the windscreen)

I’m guessing that’s the front section to the windscreen?
And if so, how much and where (ish) in the Uk are you?

Hi yes it has a short little stub of A pillar each side at the front. It was cut on the A pillars and then across the roof near by or in front  of the B pillars, gutter sections each side are still there. 50 quid ono

Cheers for that, any chance of a photo and a length to the cut- I’ve got to measure mine in the morning to where the stamped out section is to see if it’s a feasible repair using your section :)

hi I presume you are talking about the raised bump in the roof that lines up with the B pillars.

my section is cut about 30 - 40mm in front of that bump.  So there is 800mm ish of flat roof then the short angled bit that turns down towards the windscreen.

That’s doable I think, my bump/hump looks in fair condition, it’s the area from there to the screen that looks the worst- doesn’t look it but the double cab Doka roof is almost 6ft, bigger job that I expected.

Still talking to my engineers to see if they can collect it for me.
