N/S/R ply panel fixing point

Post by T25boy71 »

Hi I’m in the middle of fitting ply wood panel but can’t see any holes for the clips to go into on near side rear just 3 dimples which line up with the holes on the panel, is there some specific clip that glues in anyone got any photos of what should be there as a hole would probably letting water from the air van outside. Any help would be appreciated ImageImage

As pictured above. Panel vans, kombis and early caravelles had those lips welded to push the panel under.
Late caravelles and multivans had those tabs with holes welded to push the plastic clips into.

Ok thanks I’ll have to make them, any idea how far they stick out where the hole is.?
cheers  :ok

I also will need to remove the metal channel to the left and trim the ply panel.

Sorry no exact measurements.
I assume they raise the level to the surrounding area

Dose your panel fit the recess or go right up to the tail gate

Looks like you have the lips.Image
Have they been flattened?
You could just pry them up if that's the case.
Just put grommets or shortened clips in the plywood holes 8)
Prepare for the worst but hope for the best

It does have the lip I was planning on removing it the ply and covering would mean prying it out to much
