Driver’s seat fore & aft mechanism

This mechanism is a metal rod that swivels using its bent end on the RHS under the seat and the other end slots into a hole in the runner at the LHS base of the seat. This end keeps on coming out of its housing. There is also a metal hook that is fixed to the LHS runner that swivels but it’s point does not slot into anything on the runner, but it looks to be distorted. Has anyone experience of a similar mechanism that can help me to make this work properly? Thanks.
