Would really appreciate some guidance on what this unplugged cable is. Its in the rear left hand corner of the engine bay on a 1900cc petrol 1985 T25 and comes out the cable with the large plug that goes into the computer. Its just floating in the air and there is no socket in reach that it could connect to.
Many Thanks

Re: Errant Unplugged Cable in Engine Bay
that's the lambda sensor connector, should be connected to the sensor in the exhaust if present, if it's been unplugged it could be because the sensor has failed; the engine will run without it but will not be running optimally as it can't sniff the exhaust and adjust the fuelling accordingly, so it's just running on the fuelling map without any adjustment
Re: Errant Unplugged Cable in Engine Bay
OK, thanks for that. I will take another look to see if its fallen out or is out because the sensor is missing.
