Currently sat in a roadside layby on the A361 as the van keeps dying on me. Been driving around the southwest for the past two months and now on the journey home my van keeps loosing all power whilst I'm cruising and about 40-50. The engine doesn't cut out completely until I slow down and pull over. Any help would be much appreciated.

Were you low on petrol, just before this happened? If so, some crud from the bottom of the tank may have been pumped up and be blocking the fuel filter. After resting the crud sometimes settles down in the filter letting you start again, until you get going, then it can stir up again, recreating the blockage. Worth checking the filter.

Don't forget the tiny cone filter on the inlet spigot to the carb .... fine cr@p gets through and blocks it up. To remove it use a self tapping screw and by hand just turn it in the hole ... it should catch the filter frame, pull it out and either blow through (backwards) with an air duster or WD40. Replace et voila.
