Does anyone know where I may get an overhaul kit for the ATE master cylinder?
I can only find complete master cylinders for sale.
Hope someone can help..
Thanks
Andy

Re: ATE master Cylinder
Personally I just replace - refurbishing a 25 year old cylinder seems false economy to me. I am all for refurbishing a lot of things but this isn't one of them. It isn't as though a new one is the price that my daughter's Punto's is - £350 for her Bosch one when most other models are under £10!!!

Re: ATE master Cylinder
Repair kits easily available - Google soon throws up loads.
eg http://www.volkspares.co.uk/brakes-repa ... html/3625/ you will have to check that it is ate for yourself.

Re: ATE master Cylinder
Thanks Oldie,
I have decided to buy a new one.
Given that I am replacing the rest of the braking system it makes sense.
I have found one made by Mettelli of Italy, so it isn't a cheapo Chinese made one.

Re: ATE master Cylinder
Should be Metelli part no. 05- 0203, strange that they don't give that. (I have a load of catalogues as I had to source parts for my Merc on the continent)
