Wonder if you all can help. We bought a '83 T25 last year and all has been going v well until last week when I went to open up the can for the first time this year.
The tailgate lock is stuck. The key will open and unlock the mechanism. But when it is open I cannot push the lock in to open the tailgate. I've tried WD40 on the mechanism.
Unfortunately the can won't start either (as I suspect the battery is flat). Being a complete moron I've left the charger and all my tools in boot - which I can't open.
Any ideas?

You may be able to get the tailgate open form inside. Remove the door card and release the lock manually.
