Carpet Sets For Cab Area

Post by Chunksta »

Guys,

Anyone recommend carpet sets for the ole bus please?

I see GSF do some, but don't know what they are like?

The really awkward bit (and I don't know of any carpet sets that have solved it) is where it goes up and over wheel arches. Theres stretch carpet possibly but most sets seem to just do the floor and only the flat areas. A friend of mine who fitted carpets most of his life took one look and said it was "no problem" and to try and get a good berber and he'd make all the cuts needed to follow the shape - right down to the cab step. Said all he needed was the seats out and to leave him to it.

Not taken him up on it yet as I have other stuff to finish but a fitter at a loose end might work out better than buying a set, which for the most part seem to be very basic in quality. That said I've seen sets for as little as £20 so you could always try them out. Some of the German specialists may well have something better - at a price.

I was looking at this, stocked by vw heritage but I think made by Newton commercial. If they are not the same they look pretty similar. Not sure it's any use to you?

Yeah looks good Jas.

When you see the last of the T25's all carpeted up from factory, this looks like the style.

Newton are a very respectable company too.
