GSF brake drums

Post by Alzey »

Just wondering whether anyone had bought them and any comments re quality, they work out with a 20% voucher at £50 for a pair at mo, against £80+ at the other suppliers ie Brickie/VW heritage/JK etc. Unfortunately it doesn't state the make on the site.

regards
Al

PS can't find the previous posting with whats good and whats bad re parts

They will "probably" be vetech, which is GSF's own brand.

I can honestly say, anything vetech I have ever fitted has been dog poo. Have only ever used it when in the brown and smelly and had to.

Quality on bushes, ball joints etc is v poor.

Wheel bearings have a years MOT in them, just. Ball joints have lasted less gap between MOTs.

Buy once, buy wise. Never used there drums but can imagine a 'my brake pedal is pulsing' type thread after fitting them

:ok

Drums yep, but Euro have been out of stock of discs for months. VERY frustrating when the price was reduced right through their sales but they didn't even have any! As far as I know, they're STILL out of stock.

Yep, just checked, reduced but none in stock. Whats the point in that???

I had Vetec wheel bearings and can confirm everything everyone has said except they were exaggerating when they said they lasted a year :)

Oh dear, they were shown out of stock in my local one but in stock 25 miles away for collection. Anyway I clicked for free delivery and got an e mail from UPS to say despatched, although that is a bit confusing as it also says they may not be delivered by them but ECP. Oh well I'm not desperate for them so time will see, I'll let you know :D

Ordered on the 11th, delivered on 13th, cheaper than everyone else and Pagid so no complaints, not sure about the discs from ECP as I used brickwerks for those particular parts. :D
