I'm in the midst of doing up my Caravelle and its currently SORN'd, I need to get it MOT'd so I can drive it to the bloke who does my welding, (35 miles away), probably a stupid question, but do I need to put the rear two bench seats and seat belts back in it for the MOT ??? Anyone know ?

I had mine tested in the middle of installing R&R bed and nothing was said. I only had one seatbelt too and that was ignored.

Thanks gents it was kinda what I was thinking, ie if its not there how can it be tested but I was concerned that it was showing as a bus on the log book so would be.. if that makes sense.

Last year ours had no interior at all except for front seats and belts. She passed. Good luck.

MOT no. The only time it MAY be a problem is with insurance - depends on who you are insured with. CIS point blank refused to continue my cover if I so much as altered anything inside and that included removing a seat - let alone adding anything. As far as they were concerned that was a modification and my insurance would be void. Watch for that one. Same with those that fit alloys and don't inform their insurance company. It can bite you in the ass big time.
