Fridge flue query

Post by lenny84 »

Firstly hope this is the right section.
The fridge is a RM122 (12V / gas).
Camper is 1984 T25 Caravelle.

Currently doing the build to have the fridge located in units that run across the front, behind the cab.
The fridge was previously fitted in the usual place in unit under window opposite to sliding door, where the flue is fitted in the side of van.

Question is regarding the flue arrangement, I would like to keep the existing flue outlet in the same place, and run pipe work from where the fridge will be in its new location (roughly between drivers and passengers seats).
The new length would be approx. 4ft to the outlet.
Would this be suitable or create problems?
Idea would be to wrap the flue pipe work in exhaust wrap, and try to incline it for the extraction - although this may only be possibly by a matter of inches.

No. No. No.!
It may be shortened but not lengthened. An inch or so maybe, certainly not what you are envisaging.
