pop top to high top.

how does the high top fix to the van ? someone said silicone it on !!!!! yeah, i thought ! and what about when its windy. see i want to put a hightop where my westy poptop is, but i dont need a bodged mess, plus its raining a lot and i dont have a workshop. any advice from anyone who has done it would be great.

Dont use ordanary silicone, use "tigerseal" or "sicoflex", which is all the pro converters use, unless its a leisuredrive hitop, which are bolted as well.....

and dont buy a hitop second hand unless its already removed from the vehicle, as sometimes they are almost impossible to remove is they have been "tigersealed " on.

it is a leisuredrive, i havent got it yet though. tiger seal seems good if its used by the trade.

there are 2 hightops on ebay at the mo , one of them is a leisure drive .. neither are owt to do with me BTW ..

i think you must have the wrong end of the stick, i already have a poptop on my westy, its a hightop i want to change to.

--if you aint done the job yet--the stuff to stick it on with is Sikaflex 512 caravan --this is polyurethane adhesive/sealant specially developed for the caravan trade--expensive at about £13 a cartridge--
