I have the same problem but even stranger. They are on at the moment, but have been off for ages. When they are off and headlights on, the headlights are on dipped when the full beam blue light is on. When full beam is off, the full beam is on. Last night the dash lights were on and off as I was driving. The oil waring light would flash, then the dash lights would go on or off. :( To add to that my horn has now stopped working but was fine a couple of days ago. I have been told could be bad earth crowns, or broken circuit under the dash pod.

Deffo check those earth crowns - it's next on my list as my high beam light works when it feels like it and my dash lights have never worked....until Monday night when the right hand side light decided to come on?!?!

Mine never worked but i found that the pcb on the connector strip join was burned out. I soldered a piece of wire onto the last bit of copper showing and then soldered the lead onto the correct feed wire on the connector block.

I've got the same thing - I reckon it's something on the PCB, but I can't see any burnouts on mine. It's intermittent as well, it was fine until June this year, when it first occurred, so I took the dashboard out & checked around the PCB but didn't see anythng. Put it all back together & it started working again which I reckon was a fluke. One additional aspect I found at this time was that it all works fine if the engine is not running. Next instance was a month ago, I had real trouble getting the van started in a campsite one morning, loads of starter motor, finally got it moving & when it came to getting home late in the evening the dash lights wouldn't come on & the clock had stopped. Bizarrely it all just came back on on it's own a couple of days later & has been fine since.

Anyone know any common points of failure on PCBs ?

P.S. Anyone used Bare Paint on their PCB/van ? It's electrically conductive paint but I've no idea if it works. I'm thinking of doing any PCB repairs with it rather than risk my dodgy soldering. http://www.bareconductive.com/bare-paint-pen

I've had similar problems mostly caused by missing and faulty earths!! That made the current follow unplanned circuits, creating bizarre effects. It's the combination of age and many owners attempts to fit ICE
