went to change the front brake pads today but have got a bit of a problem. o/s and n/s pads showing very uneven wear, to the extent that both of the outer pads are worn to near bare metal whereas both inner pads still have a lot of pad left. both outer pistons were seized, did manage to get the o/s one to move but n/s is solid.
obviously going to need a new/refurb n/s caliper and possibly o/s aswell
so will the van be ok to drive, sensibly, with 3 new pads and one very worn one (only one I could get back in)so I can get it to garage?
also does anybody know if there are any tricks for unsiezing said piston? checked wiki but cant find anything only replacement
are the calipers from Europarts any good? reduced in price at the moment
many thanks

Re: New brake calipers?
Look at it this way, if the brakes are defective (and from what you describe they are) and you have an accident on the way...is it worth it?
