Hi all,
I got a new starter motor [a while ago, have been bizzy] from Si at Brickwerks, and it has three connections whereas my old one has two -- the big bolted one on top of solenoid and the little bolted one a bit to one side.
The new one has a big bolted one at the top as before, with two not-bolted but spade males on the side.
What are these two for please, and which should I connect to my old little bolted wire?
still plodding on with the most northerly T25.......
regards,
jaylo

If it is like this one the two terminals are Siamese on the starter you just need to connect the red/black cable to one of them.
The starter has two terminal as some vehicle have a take off to power other things when the starter is operating.

Like a normally closed relay. Switch off lights whilst starting or the like would be a use.

It's usually the electric water circulation pump like on the TD engines it runs every time you crank the engine so it doesn't seize up during the winter.
