hi all looked a tthe wiki on insulating the van and an american guy did a vanagon with a bitumen type paint,any thoughts on this or has any one used it to seal the inner side before putting in insulation,thanks for any thoughts,,.

That stuff stinks for ages though. Might be ok in a climate with heat and open windows but I wouldn't be rushing for bitumen. Its bad enough with contact adhesive.
