If you look hes sheilding the arc with his hand, its normal whilst setting stuff up ,hence the bits of scrap angle being used.... see a reason for everything

I would never have guessed you could arc weld under water, honestly. If someone had said it to me in the pub I would have thought they were daft :oops:

I worked as safety boat for welders perched at the top of 60 ft piles over the harbour - we got shocks from their cables running across wet pontoons so I wonder what proportion of underwater welders electrickery reaches the target.
