hi ya all well just had a quote by a very good friend on restoring my van back to her glory it needs the following work to get to my standards:
both steps
n/s b pillar
one corner on the screen
n/s rear panels
o/s rear panels
rear valance
and a new coat of shiny paint

this is his trade to

out of intrest what would people bill willing to pay for this kind of job bearing in mind i am supplying the panels :ok

well all depends on quality of work, but a half decent paint job thats done correctly can be £2k plus! so I would recon about £3000 ish???

paint is paint.. but the quality of repair and prep is the key issue..
that's where the cost lies.

well your correct on that one the key is in the prep the same bloke put me a rear quarter and painted my mk1 golf and made a a1 job plus he knows how fussy i am plus its coming off the road for 2 month why he does it

Wow gosh no way :rofl were all booked and paid for managed to squeeze some extra days in it will be off the road after then untill end of feb why my friend does the body work i am wanting to get the interior all made up oh and the gearbox rebuilt

talk about all money hahaha good job i am in the trade

That's about right. If you have to replace those panels no doubt the body will need a fair bit of rust sorted out too. That's a lot of prep. Photos of the work being done would be good.

Well there's only one bit of bad rust is the b pillar the rest is just bubbling but why I am having it painted thought I migh as well have it all done proper
