Anyone gone from petrol DG to 1Y SDI?

Anyone gone from petrol DG to 1Y SDI?

Have been thinking seriously about LPG or diesel route or posibly gti. Currently have ok DG and probably LPG would be the simplest but not necessarily cheapest option. Having read a lot about it i'm curious to kno if anyone has gone from DG to 1Y or an AEF type engine 1.9 diesel non-turbo mated to a petrol 4 speed box. I suppose my main interest is MPG, reliability and costs -speed not so much as long as she can cruise at 65 or 60 loaded. Thing with the WBX is that parts are expensive and getting rarer as things start to wear out. Di wondr if dual fuel gets any tax / parking (inner city London) discount. cheers, Tim
