I am aware this thread is dragging on a bit due to my inexperience
That's how we learn though
Some WD40 on the actuator shaft where it goes into the body of the turbo will help, but generally just work the actuator back and forward and make sure it moves ok.
As Harry Mann says, the pressure pipe leading to it could be damaged or loose.
Ok I have tried adjusting the wastegate by unscrewing 10 mil nut 5or 6 full turnes then using small Allen key tightened threaded dowel back in to try reduce presure.made no difference.
Bugger!..try what Harrymann said n get a tyre pump on the pipe going into the actuator*,see if that frees it up?
*another new word ive learnt!
Ps,you should be un-screwing [ccw] the actuator rod to reduce the pressure!!

I was thinking of when it started over boosting.Last year I bought some fuel additive that cleans fuel system and gives you some extra mpg.Cant say I noticed any difference in mpg.
Does anyone think this could cause overboosting be conus it's cleaned the fuel system giving it more fuel
This is it. http://www.dipetane.ie/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

First check the pressure feed pipe to the capsule is intact. You could disconnect the compressor side and try a pump
Harry do I connect a foot pump in place of the pipe running to opposite end to the wastegate in the picture
Hulky try unscrewing the actuator rod a lot then give the turbo a tap [with a small hammer/big screwdriver].
You'll have to find a fitting to connect the pump to!

Is the actuator rod attached to the threaded dowel that has the 10 ml nut in pictures

Ok Dave just got round to trying what you said..also changed the 5mil tube to 4mil and turbo showing 8 to 10 psi so something has worked either I have loosened off the wastegate or the wrong size tube give me the wrong psi ?
I am going to Brickwerks on Thursday so I can discuss it with him.
